'Singa Pennae – Athiradai Padai' – Awareness Programme on Women Empowerment
The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) in association with the Feminine Federation Club of AVS College of Arts and Science (Autonomous), Salem, successfully organized a programme titled 'Singa Pennae – Athiradai Padai' on 10th July 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the V.O.C. Seminar Hall.
The session was delivered by Ms. R. Senthamarai Selvi, Sub Inspector of Police, Ammapet Police Station, who addressed the gathering on topics of women empowerment, personal safety, self-confidence, leadership, and career opportunities. Through her motivational address, she encouraged students to become bold, fearless, confident, and responsible citizens capable of overcoming challenges with courage and conviction.
The interactive session saw enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members, and concluded on a positive and inspiring note, reaffirming the institution's commitment to fostering empowerment and safety awareness among its students
